Tehran, IRNA – The enemies of Iran and Syria, including the Zionist regime and the United States, are unhappy with President Ebrahim Raisi’s trip to Syria, and on the other hand, our friends, especially in the Islamic and Arab worlds, see this trip as a turning point in important developments in the field of unifying the Islamic world and confronting the main enemy – Israel.

It seems that this trip was not only important for the relations between Iran and Syria, but also has an important impact in the Islamic world.

This trip is considered very important in the 13th administration and is expected to bring valuable achievements. The relations between the two countries have been very good since the victory of the Islamic Revolution and have been on an upward trend, especially during the Iraqi imposed war of the 1980s. The people of Iran do not forget the political support of Hafez Assad’s government, and how Syria’s cooperation with Iran made Saddam Hussein’s Ba’athist regime unable to create an Arab consensus against Iran during that war. Therefore, the mutual cooperation between Iran and Syria in the imposed war was for the benefit of the people of both countries.

Syria is one of the main countries of the Axis of Resistance, which is directly in front of the Zionist regime and has been attacked and damaged many times by this regime, but with the continuation of the resistance, it has managed to have the upper hand in the war with the regime.

President Raisi’s visit to Syria comes at a time when the country has political stability and the conspiracy of Europe and America to divide this country and overthrow the legitimate government of Bashar al-Assad has been completely thwarted. The fact that Syria and Egypt are going to replace the dollar with the national currency shows the political stability in Syria and the ability of this country to distance itself from the United States and confront it as a country that sought to overthrow the legitimate government of Syria. We also saw that despite some negative approaches towards Syria, Turkiye is interested in communicating with this country, and one of President Recep Erdogan’s ideas before and after winning the elections is to improve relations with Syria.

Iran and Syria pursue two goals in the political-security dimension. The first goal is to deal with the remnants of terrorist groups, including ISIS and al-Qaeda, which were created and supported by the United States and Europe, and the United States is still trying to keep some of them in Syria and pursue its proxy war against Syria. Therefore, dealing with the remnants of terrorist groups is one of the main agendas of the two countries.

Trying to expel the US from Syria and preventing the illegal theft of oil from this country by the US are other issues against which Iran and Syria should cooperate.

There are many opportunities for the two countries in different economic fields. Syria can be one of Iran’s trading partners. Syria’s good market can accept Iran’s non-oil exports, and at the same time, Syria’s big task in the future is to reconstruct itself. In the technical-engineering field, considering the good experiences it has in the field of construction in the surrounding countries, Iran can play a good role. The two countries can cooperate in the field of energy and oil sales as well as communications and virtual space.

The enemies of Iran and Syria, including the Zionist regime and the United States, are unhappy with this trip which is not only important in relation to Iran and Syria, but also has an important impact on the Islamic world.
