Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) of Sistan and Baluchestan province, in southeastern Iran, has identified and arrested bandits and terrorist groups who possessed hundreds of different weapons.

The IRGC said on Thursday that it had arrested two members of the so-called Jaish ul-Adl terrorist group who were attempting to enter Iran through its eastern borders.

Some 154 weapons and huge amounts of ammunition were confiscated in the operation and both elements were handed over to judicial authorities, the IRGC declared.

The Iranian security forces also dismantled a network active in smuggling arms into the country and captured a total of 70 weapons from the group.
