Tehran, IRNA – Figures by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) show that trade between the country and Iran reached $921 million in the first two months of 2023.

TURKSTAT figures showed that trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey had decreased by 11% compared with January-February last year.

The figures showed that Turkiye’s export to Iran increased by 1.5% in January and February compared to the same months in 2022 to reach some $471 million.

Turkiye’s imports from Iran decreased by 21% in the first two month of 2023 in comparison to the similar period last year to reach $451 million, said the TURKSTAT. 

Trade between Turkiye and Iran had increased by 12% year on year in 2022 to reach $6.42 billion.
