Tehran, IRNA - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said on the occasion of Nowruz that the main plan of the government in 2023 is to control inflation along with sustainable economic growth.

In his New Year address on the arrival of the Iranian year 1402, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made remarks today that the main plan of the Iranian government in 2023 is to control inflation along with sustainable economic growth.

In the field of domestic politics, the New Year is the year of elections for the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the Assembly of Experts, he added.

The government's plan is to lay the groundwork for the participation of the people and the formation of a strong parliament (Majis), he noted.

The government does not belong to any faction. The faction of the government is the faction of the Revolution and people, he stated.

The more popular elections are held, the better it is for our country, he further noted.

Earlier today, Raisi in a message congratulated the arrival of Nowruz and the New Persian year the leaders of the countries of the Nowruz civilization field.

President Raisi in his message wished the New Year to be a year accompanied by benevolence for the leaders of the Nowruz civilization field and their people.

Iranian President stated that his government will do its best to fulfill promises, including improving people's livelihood, anti-corruption, controlling inflation, strengthening production and enhancing employment in the new year.

Among the strategic plans of the government in the new year is to utilize the unique and strategic position of Iran and to activate the "North-South" and "East-West" routes to achieve a place on the level of the great nation of Iran, he pointed out.

The neighborhood policy, the results of which have become more apparent to our nation these days, was one of the main agendas of the government from the first day.

During the year 1401 in the knowledge-based sector, 140 significant and key projects were started in the sectors of energy, agriculture, space, transportation, medical equipment, biotechnology, and employment in science and technology parks and growth centers surged by 50%.
