Tehran, IRNA – The opening ceremony of the Frist Norouz International Games was held in Azadi Sport Complex in Tehran and was attended by Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Ensiyeh Khazali.

Over 500 athletes from 20 countries, including Iran, will compete in nine sports for three days.

The athletes from Iran, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Kuwait, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Tunisia, Russia, Armenia, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Palestine, Thailand, and Nepal will compete in track and field, horse riding, Chogan, Karate, Kabbadi, futsal, powerlifting, fencing, and judo competitions.

The competitions will start on March 11 and go on for three days.
