Tehran, IRNA – Spokesman of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization Jafar Yazarloo says the government body and United Arab Emirates' General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand their cooperation.

Yazarloo said on Tuesday that considering the volume of trade and tourism exchanges between Iran and the UAE, the two countries decided to update their agreements on aviation cooperation.

He said a new MoU was signed after holding expert meetings on increasing the number of flights between the two countries, adding that the document also covers cooperation on increasing the number of transit flights through the Iranian airspace.
