Tehran, IRNA – The Iranian Ambassador in Beirut said on Monday that Iran’s stance on the presidential election in Lebanon is what the Lebanese people decide without foreign interference.

Addressing a ceremony to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Mojtaba Amani expressed hope that Lebanon will overcome the current crisis and urged all political parties in Lebanon to discuss and reach an understanding.

He added that Iran's power is not based on missiles and weapons.

Despite sanctions and efforts to create unrest, Iran's power expanded, he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Amani offered his condolences over the recent deadly earthquake in Syria and Turkiye.
