Tehran, IRNA – Tajikistan and Iran plan to establish direct flights between Dushanbe and Tehran by the Tajik company of Somon Air on Fridays.

According to the Imam Khomeini Airport City Company, the Friday flights are going to kick off from February 10.

The Somon Air Company has declared that the Tajik airline intends to set up flights to the Iranian capital Tehran.

The flights are going to be held from Dushanbe at 17:20 local time and from Tehran at 14:30 local time.

The flights are going to be held once a week on Fridays. The Somon Air plans to extend the service to two days per week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The flights will take 2 hours and 50 minutes from Dushanbe to Tehran and 2 hours and 20 minutes from Tehran to Dushanbe.

Somon Air is a private airline in Tajikistan headquartered in Dushanbe and based at Dushanbe International Airport. The airline kicked off its operation in 2008 and is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Somon Air plans to expand its flight network, which is available now from Tajikistan to Germany, the UAE, Turkey, China, India, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
