Tehran, IRNA – Serbia first lady said on Tuesday that holding World Influential Women Congress based on an initiative by Islamic Republic of Iran is praiseworthy and Serbia supports the move aimed at exaltation of women's status.

Tamara Vucic's opinion on World Influential Women Congress is a part of the broad international reactions about this initiative, which was the first of its kind in Tehran and gathered the world successful women around the same table to exchange views.

The Serbian first lady pointed out interesting points after her return home, including, "The Islamic Republic of Iran's initiative of holding the World Influential Women Congress is praiseworthy and Serbia supports this initiative which leads to the exaltation of women's status."

Mrs. Vucic said that it was agreed at the congress that the 2nd World Influential Women Congress will be held in Armenia next year, adding, "I will also attend that event."

She said that Serbia is interested in strengthening scientific, cultural, and political relations with Iran, which is a friendly country.

Also, during her visit of the National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Serbian first lady was very impressed by the grandeur of it and expressed hope to further strengthen the Serbian books section in that library.

She appreciated the organizers of the World Influential Women Congress, especially the Iranian First Lady Allamalhoda, adding, "In a meeting with the Iranian president and foreign minister I talked about our country's stands about the recent developments in Iran, and in this visit I realized that Iran is a very friendly country.
