Hashem Dadashpour made the remarks in a meeting with Yakubu Santuraki Suleiman, Ambassador Extraordinary, and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Iran.
He described Nigeria as one of the most important countries in Africa, saying that due to the positive and increasing interaction between the presidents of the two countries, the ministry of science has decided to expand its cooperation with Nigeria in the science and technology fields.
"Iran and Nigeria cooperate in various organizations; so, by identifying scientific capacities, we can help each other," Dadashpour said.
He referred to attracting 250,000 foreign students and becoming an international hub as one of the main objectives.
Meanwhile, Santuraki Suleiman said that Nigeria is interested in taking advantage of Iran’s potential.
He hoped for developing scientific and technological interactions between the two countries.
