Tehran, IRNA – Senior Foreign Ministry officials from Iran and Syria urged the need for more enhanced cooperation between the two countries on international issues and globally.

Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Ayman Sousan and Ali-Asghar Khaji, a senior aide to Iranian foreign minister, in a meeting in Tehran on Monday, also called for more expansion of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

Speaking during the meeting, the Iranian Foreign Ministry official welcomed the promotion of stability and security in Syria, voicing Iran’s resolve to continue its support for Syria as it did during the country’s war against terrorism.

He also said that Iranian techno-engineering companies, including the private sector ones, are ready to participate in reconstruction of Syria.  

The Syrian official, for his part, hailed Iran’s support for his country, asking for this support to be continued.
