Qasreshirin, IRNA – Managing Director of Iran’s Parvizkhan border crossing on the frontier with Iraq Motalebi said that foreign trade through the crossing reached a total of $2.178 billion in the nine months to December 21.

Speaking to the IRNA on Monday, Qasem Motalebi said that some 2.567 metric tons (mt) of goods and products worth $1.641 billion had been exported via the Parvizkhan border crossing over the March-December period.

He added that the export shipments from Parvizkhan mostly included fruits and vegetables, dairy products, cakes and cookies, metal products, plastic products, stones, tiles, and construction materials.

The Kermanshah province in western Iran has two official border crossings and five border markets along its 371-kilometer frontier with Iraq.

More than $3 billion dollar worth of goods are exported from Kermanshah’s borders every year.
