Tehran, IRNA -- Iran’s Health Ministry on Thursday announced that no new fatalities from COVID-19 had been registered in the past 24 hours.

The ministry said that only 35 new infections have been logged over the past 24 hours, which take Iran’s total case tally from the respiratory disease to 7,560,667 since the pandemic began.

Of the new patients, the ministry added, 22 people have been hospitalized.  

Since the pandemic began, 7,335,835 patients have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.

Currently, 72 people are hospitalized in ICU units.

So far, 65,149,267 people have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

58,560,396 have received their second jab and 31,395,636 have got a third or fourth shot.

Currently no city or town is regarded as red, which refers to an area with a high number of Covid infections based on Iran’s color-coded system.
