Addressing Friday prayers in Moscow, Hamid Shahriari said the Iranian and Russian Muslims are symbols of unity and brotherhood.
He added that today, arrogant powers seek to dominate the management of oil, gas, food, and mineral resources by unilateralism, and pursue their interests through creating economic sanctions, cultural invasion and starting the imposed war.
Shahriari noted that wherever they deem necessary, the arrogant powers jeopardize global peace and security by waging war, bloodshed, and conflict, and by selling arms to conflict parties.
Thanks to the vigilance of Iran and Russia leaders, he added that the two countries have managed to foil the enemies' plots.
In the meantime, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi has underlined that the unique capacity of Islam and other religions in the civilized country of Russia promises more cooperation in the brilliant future.
Raisi’s message to the congress of Russian Muslims on the occasion of commemorating the 1100th year of the presence of Islam in Russia was read by Abolghasem Dulabi, the representative of the Iranian president in the event, on Friday.
The massive presence of the Muslim community, including Shia and Sunni Muslims, in Russia, has turned the country into the largest state among non-Islamic nations with the greatest number of Muslim communities, the president noted.
According to the president, the capacity of Russia especially for its presence in the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) can help overcome Western unilateralism.
