Iran FM Spox congratulates Morocco on World Cup win

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani on Wednesday congratulated the Moroccan people on their country’s victory to reach the World Cup quarter-finals in Qatar.

The Iranian official issued his congratulatory message in Arabic on his twitter page.

On Tuesday, Morocco made history as it became the first Arab country to reach the quarter-finals at the FIFA World Cup.

The North African nation beat Spain 3-0 on penalties, knocking out the 2010 World Cup winners.
