Birjand, IRNA – Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Iran Turdakun Sydykov on Saturday announced an agreement with the governor general of South Khorasan Province, which aims to boost bilateral cooperation supported by universities in the eastern Iranian province.

Sydykov, speaking at a meeting with academics and university professors in South Khorasan, said that the cooperation between his country and the Iranian province will include many areas and will receive scientific support by the universities in that province.

He added that those areas of cooperation include agriculture, process industries as well as tourism.

The Kyrgyz ambassador hailed progress made by the South Khorasan universities, calling on them to exchange their experiences with Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Science.

Sydykov arrived in South Khorasan Province earlier on Saturday for a daylong trip.

He visited Birjand Special Economic Zone as well as a number of factories in the city plus tourism attractions in the province.
