Tehran, IRNA – Adviser to Iranian President on Ethnic and Religious Minorities Affairs Mamousta Abdul Salam Karimi has held talks with the family of Iranian girl Mahsa Amini, whose death has turned into a source of difference in Iran.

The advisor went to the house of Mahsa’s father in Saqez, Kordestan Province, northwestern Iran, to express condolences to the family and emphasize that the administration is pursuing the issue of Mahsa’s death.

Karimi pointed to the efforts by the authorities to clear the issue, underlining that President Ebrahim Raisi has called for precise legal proceedings regarding the incident.

The Amini family asked the representative to ask the judicial officials to probe into potential medical malpractice and delay in treating their daughter at a hospital in Tehran.

Following the meeting with the family of Mahsa, the advisor also provided the president with a complete report of the visit and the family’s demands.

At the time of Mahsa Amini’s death, President Raisi, who was visiting Uzbekistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, asked the interior minister to follow up on the sad issue; then the president had a phone call with the family, ensuring them that related apparatus will pursue the issue to make all aspects of the incident clear.
