Damascus, IRNA – Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development Rostam Qasemi and Syrian Transport Minister Zouhair Khazim in a meeting in Damascus talked on rail transport of passengers and goods among Syria, Iraq, Iran.

During the meeting, Qasemi and Khazim talked on the  prospects of bilateral ties between the two countries in the field of land transport, sea, and air transport.

Another important issue was discussed in the form of work of the joint committee of Syria and Iran to set up railway transport passengers & goods among Syria, Iraq, Iran.

This railway transportation will move from Shalamcheh to Basra and then to Syria. The Iranian road and urban development minister arrived in Damascus on Wednesday morning for a two-day trip.

He also met with Syrian Minister of Public Works and Housing Suhail Muhammad Abdullatif.

They discussed mutual cooperation on housing, including projects to build social housing properties on the outskirts of cities, as well as formation of joint ventures.
