Tehran, IRNA - Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, in a meeting with Iran's ambassador in Baghdad called for strengthening the ties between the two countries.

Hakim and Ambassador Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadegh on Monday discussed bilateral relations, as well as the political situation in Iraq and the region.

The Iraqi political leader said there should be a balance in Iraq that can unite all sides in accordance with the constitution and the law.

He also emphasized the necessity of forming a government in Iraq based on the current priorities to materialize the ideals of the people and rebuild their confidence.

Iraq's security and stability is in line with the security and stability of the region, he said, calling for continuation of dialogue in the region.
