Amirabdollahian and Wopke Hoekstra held talks in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly summit.
The top Iranian diplomat named the initiatives his country has presented during talks aimed at reviving the JCPOA and said that Tehran is determined to reach a deal which also aims to remove sanctions against the country.
The Dutch diplomat, on his part, expressed hope that a revival deal is reached as soon as possible so that restrictions hindering the progress of the Iranian-Dutch ties can be removed.
The two ministers also discussed other issues, including the Ukraine war and energy, as well as Afghan refugees.
Iran has time and again said that a JCPOA revival deal is within reach if the United States, which threw the nuclear accord into disarray by withdrawing from it in 2018, shows good will and makes a political decision to return to the accord and stay committed to it.
