Tehran, IRNA – The IRGC spokesman said that 1,444 civil, military vessels will parade on Thursday in the Persian Gulf to commemorate the Holy Defense week.

IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Ramazan Sharif said that 1,444 light and heavy vessels in the form of maritime Basij forces boats and selected vessels of the navy forces of Army and the IRGC will hold a parade on Thursday that marks the beginning of the eight-year Iran-Iraq war in 1980.

He said that the fighter jets of the Army Air Force and the IRGC Aerospace Force will fly over the Persian Gulf.

In the meantime, ground forces will march in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas along to coast of the Persian Gulf.

Besides the high-ranking military commanders, the Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf will inspect the parade.
