Iran’s consul general meets Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah governor

Tehran, IRNA – Mehdi Shoushtari, Iran’s Consul General in Sulaymaniyah, the capital city of Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah province, met with the governor of that province located in the country’s Kurdistan Region.

The two discussed ways to expand cultural ties between Iran and Sulaymaniyah province.

Shoushtari also donated a series of Persian books on Iran’s literature and history to the Sulaymaniyah governorship’s library of international literature.

The books included collections by the five prominent Iranian poets, Ferdowsi, Molavi, Hafez, Sa’adi and Khayyam.
