Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Minister to Nairobi Jafar Barmaki said on Saturday that the millennia-old relations between Iran and East Africa will pave the way for further increased trade ties between Iran and Kenya.

He made the remarks in a workshop on potentials for economic cooperation with Africa.

Noting that the time is ripe for the presence of Iranian knowledge-based companies in Africa, the ambassador said that different Iranian trade delegations visited Kenya last year.

He also said that Kenya is a proper place for overseas farming projects considering the high precipitation in the country.
