Zahedan, IRNA – An earthquake shook Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan in southern Iran minutes ago today (Thursday).

The 3.5-Richter-scale tremor occurred at the depth of 10 km underground. 

No report has so far been released on the likely casualties or damage to the property.

Iran sits on major fault lines and is prone to near-daily earthquakes.
