Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Consul General in Karachi Hassan Nourian expressed his condolences to the government and people of Pakistan over the deaths of people during the monsoon rains and flooding in that country, including Sindh, and called on the Iranians to help the flood-hit Pakistani people.

Nourian wrote on his Twitter account that the noble people of Karachi and Pakistan's Sindh donated thousands of dollars to the Iranians to buy medical equipment during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Iran’s Consul General in Karachi added that the same people need "our help", especially tents, due to the devastating flood caused by unprecedented rainfall.

According to official media, the country's climate change minister said on Thursday that monsoon rains and flooding in Pakistan had affected more than 30 million people over the last few weeks.
