Our correspondent was producing a report on the Saadabad Historical Complex which consists of several palaces from the last two centuries when he ran into a group of foreign tourists visiting the site.
He asked about the three tourists from their guide and realized that they were Ruben Wolochin, the Argentinian coach of Morocco’s national volleyball team, and two of his assistants Juan Cobucci and Julian Budano who are also from Argentina. The three are on a visit to Iran at the invitation of Iran’s Volleyball Federation.
They warmly accepted to grant us an interview, during which Wollochin expressed content to be in Iran. He said that they have been in Iran for the last two weeks to attend the Iranian national volleyball team’s training camp to be prepared for Islamic countries' games.
Wollochin praised Iran’s national volleyball team, saying that the team was definitely among the world’s top volleyball teams.
The Argentinian coach also said that he enjoyed delicious Iranian foods, saying that he and his friends only had Iranian dishes, like Kebab and Iranian soups and salads, during their stay.
There was a dish like soup full of herbs, he recalled a specific Iranian dish that seemed extraordinary to him. Troubled to pronounce the name of the dish, Wollochin uttered “Ghormeh Sabzi”.
I recommend foreign tourists not to miss Ghormeh Sabzi, he said. “It has a wonderful taste… It’s so delicious,” the Argentinian coach said while his friend nodded in agreement.
We were really surprised in Iran, Wollochi said with laughter and went on to explain that all Iranians are hospitable and friendly.
