Iranian fence masters win a gold, 2 silvers in ISG

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s National Fencing Team won a gold and two silvers in the Islamic Solidarity Games underway in the Turkish city of Konya.

Iran’s men defeated their Turkish competitors 45-28 in the final of sabre games, gaining a gold.

But in épée games, the Iranian male fence masters lost 35-45 to Azerbaijan and won a silver.

Iran’s women also gained a silver after they lost to their Turkish competitors 39-45 in épée games.
