Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Embassy in Armenia said on Monday that six Iranian nationals remain unaccounted for, after a powerful blast ripped through a market in Yerevan.

The Embassy said that it is keeping contact with the families of those missing, as well as the Armenian authorities.

It also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims of the Sunday incident.

The blast happened after fireworks exploded, causing a huge fire too.

So far, six people have been confirmed dead.

The death toll is expected to rise as many people remained trapped under the rubble.
