Tehran, IRNA – The spokesman for the Iranian Government announced Thursday the successful stabilization of the Khayyam homemade satellite.

Iranian knowledge-based companies will make use of data and images obtained from Khayyam in different fields, Ali Bahadori Jahromi said through a Twitter post this morning.

Iranian satellite "Khayyam" was launched from Kazakhstan’s Baikonur Cosmodrome through Soyuz rocket two days ago.

The Khayyam satellite whose ownership is for Iranian Space Agency is designed and built by the Iranian agency with cooperation of reputable Russian companies.

As the spokesman wrote, construction of three copies of Khayyam with participation of Iranian scholars and experts is on the agenda.
