According to ict.gov.ir, Minister Zarepour, heading a delegation, is scheduled to promote expansion of bilateral collaborations with Kazakhstan in communications and information technology as well as aerospace industry.
The trip is in line with policies of President Ebrahim Raisi’s administration in a bid to improve technological and economic partnerships with all states in particular with neighboring and regional countries.
During the visit, Zarepour is going to hold talks with Bagdat Mussin, Minister of Digital development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Nur-Sultan.
The two ministers’ meeting is expected to pave the ground for export of Iranian goods and services concerning information and communications technology into the Kazakh market.
In the two-day visit, the Iranian minister is also scheduled to take part in preplanned sessions between managers and experts of aerospace industry of both countries.
In June, Kazakhstan and Iran signed nine documents of cooperation and a Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of both countries’ presidents.
The documents are in the fields of developing transit transportation, scientific and cultural exchanges, energy, cultural agriculture, trade-economic exchanges, and other fields signed between the Ministers of Iran and Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakh president, heading a high-ranking delegation, visited Iran at the official invitation from his Iranian counterpart in June. Tokayev is the second president of Kazakhstan after 30 years of the presidency of Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Iran’s First Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber and Kazakhstan Deputy Prime Minister Bakhyt Sultanov in a meeting in May called for strengthening bilateral ties between Nur-Sultan and Tehran.
