According to Al Ahd TV Channel, the two officials held talks at Iran’s embassy in Lebanon’s capital Beirut on Sunday.
Ataya met with the Iranian ambassador in the beginning of his career in Lebanon, discussing different issues in particular recent developments in Palestine.
Both envoys emphasized on the need for confronting brutal attacks and invasions by the Zionist regime against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The Zionist regime carried attacks on various districts in Gaza on Friday evening, killing dozens of Palestinians and injuring hundreds.
