Tehran, IRNA – Iranian lawmakers approved a treaty with Belgium that would allow prisoner exchanges between the two countries.

In an open session on Wednesday, Iranian MPs passed with 195 yeas a bill to legalize the treaty of exchanging prisoners between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Belgium.

The treaty was previously ratified in the Belgian Parliament, allowing the exchange of citizens convicted and imprisoned in the two countries.
