Tehran, IRNA – National Iranian men and women chess teams in their first game of the World Chess Olympiad won all their games on Friday.

In the first round of the 44th Chennai World Chess Olympiad in India which began today, the Iranian men and women teams mightily won all their games.

The Iranian national men chess team, including Parham Maqsoodlu, Pouya Aydini, Seyyed Khalil Mousavi and Bardia Daneshvar, won all its games versus the national Nicaraguan team.

The Iranian national women chess team, including Sahar Masumi, Anusha Mahdian, Anahita Zahedifar and Mitra Asgharzadeh, too beat the Kosovo national women team 4-nil.

The second round of the games will be played tomorrow, on Saturday, July 30, at 2 pm Tehran time.
