Head of Iran Tire Industry Trade Union Hamidreza Abdol-Maaleki told IRNA on Thursday that tire exports resumed in early 2022 after Market Regulation Headquarters allowed exports one year and a half after they removed the government-rated price of the dollar.
Abdol-Maaleki said that tire producers could start exporting in late February this year, with 10 percent of sedan and 30 percent of agricultural machinery tire productions being allowed to be allocated to exports.
Iranian tire manufacturers could immediately export to Iraq and Afghanistan and managed to claim a share in tire markets of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia after March, according to Abdol-Maaleki.
He also said that tire producers were seeking to have a presence in the Eastern European markets.
