Tehran, IRNA – Iranian boxer Amir Khorsandi Tabar gained a bronze medal at the World Police and Fire Games taking place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The announcement was made by Amir Hossein Akhavan, the member of the presiding board of Iran Professional Boxing Association, on Wednesday.

According to Akhavan, Khorsandi Tabar gained the medal in the 63.5-kilogram category.

This is the first time that Iran wins a bronze at the World Police and Fire Games, which is a biennial athletic event attracting active and retired law enforcement and fire service personnel from across the world.

The 2022 competitions began in Rotterdam on July 22 and will warp up at the end of the month, bringing together almost 10,000 people from across the globe to compete in more than 60 sports.
