Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi said on Wednesday that his administration’s new diplomatic approach to prioritizing the region and neighboring countries was bearing fruit.

Speaking in a cabinet meeting, Raisi said that the presidents of Turkey and Russia who were in Iran yesterday both insisted on following up on agreements signed with Iran.

He tasked First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber with presenting a schedule for completing the Rasht-Astara railway as urged by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in their meeting yesterday.

Tehran hosted two high-profile summits yesterday attended by Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
