Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani said that the Iranian government and people expect the new South Korean administration to “unfreeze our asset”.

The deputy foreign minister tweeted on Wednesday that he has had a phone call with South Korea’s first vice minister of foreign affairs.

“The Iranian govt. & people expect the new admin. to unfreeze our assets to provide a basis for improving bilateral ties,” he said.

The senior diplomat noted that the South Korean side had stated that Seoul is exploring a new way to resolve the problem.
