Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has said that the country makes effort to end war in Ukraine.

Amirabdollahian made the remarks in an interview with the Italian newspaper la Repubblica.

Amirabdollahian left for Rome a few days ago to hold talks with officials in Italy and Vatican.

Iran is against any step to aggravate conflicts in Ukraine, the Russian news agency TASS quoted Amirabdollahian as saying in the interview.

Iran does not help sides of the war, Ukraine, and Russia, as the country believes that war should halt, he said, rejecting the US claim that Iran has delivered hundreds of drones to Russia.

Sullivan has claimed that Iran is to “provide Russia with up to several hundred UAVs.”

In a related development, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Minister Nasser Kanaani in response to remarks made by the US national security advisor Jake Sullivan said that cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in modern technologies dates back to the pre-war time in Ukraine and no special change has recently happened for this cooperation.
