Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a meeting held in Rome said that the government makes a special endeavor to solve the problems of the Iranian nationals living in Italy.

Amirabdollahian made the remarks in a meeting held on Monday evening with tens of Iranians living in Italy.

The foreign minister left for Rome on Sunday (July 11) to hold talks with officials in Italy and Vatican. The Rome visit of Amirabdollahian took place at the invitation of his Italian counterpart.

In the meeting, Amirabdollahian announced new services provided for the Iranians residing in Italy.

According to the Iranian ambassador in Rome, 28,000 Iranians are living in Italy and 8,000 others are studying in that country.
