Amirabdollahian made the comment on Wednesday during a meeting with his Qatari Counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani here in the capital Tehran.
The two ministers discussed Tehran-Doha relations, as well as regional issues.
The top Iranian diplomat thanked his Qatari counterpart for his efforts to develop ties between the two countries in different fields, and said that visits by top Iranian and Qatari officials to Doha and Tehran are aimed at following up issues related to those ties.
Amirabdollahian also referred to certain impediments in the way of trade exchanges between the two sides, such as issuing visas and transport problems, and called for efforts to remove the obstacles.
The Iranian foreign minister, meanwhile, thanked Qatar for hosting the last week indirect talks between Tehran and Washington over the removal of anti-Iran sanctions.
Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, for his part, conveyed Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s message of greetings to Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi.
The Qatari minister also called for efforts to follow up documents previously signed by the two countries.
