Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi heading a high-profile delegation left Tehran for Ashgabat on Wednesday to participate in the 6th Caspian Sea Summit.

President Raisi's visit is taking place at the official invitation of his Turkmen counterpart.

During his stay in Ashgabat, he is to deliver a speech in the 6th Caspian Sea Summit and to hold talks with his counterparts on the sidelines of the event.

The summit brings together heads of the five littoral states of the Caspian Sea – namely, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
