Tehran, IRNA – Iran's Deputy foreign minister for political affairs said in Doha on Tuesday night that the continuous Tehran-Doha consultations strengthen regional security and stability.

Ali Bagheri Kani, who is also Islamic Republic of Iran’s top negotiator in nuclear talks aimed at removal of sanctions made the comment in a meeting with Qatari Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmad al-Hamadi and the regional affairs deputy of that ministry, Muhammad al-Khalifi, in which the two sides emphasized need for broader bilateral consultations.

The deputy foreign minister for political affairs while referring to the recent visit of the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran of Qatar and Emir of Qatar’s visit of Iran, said that those state visits show the strong political will of the high ranking leaders of the two countries for further diversifying bilateral cooperation.

Bagheri also appreciated Qatar for hosting this round of the JCPOA negotiations.

The Qatari Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmad al-Hamadi, too, in the meeting referred to the two countries commonalties, arguing that the rapidly growing comprehensive Iran-Qatar relations is welcome by the Doha government.

Ali Bagheri Kani arrived in Doha on Tuesday to participate in the new round of JCPOA negotiations aimed at termination of the unjustly imposed US sanctions.
