In an interview with IRNA on Monday, Abolfazl Amouei, member of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said that Iran provided the broadest inspection opportunities for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), with over one fifth of all inspection being allocated to Iran.
Amouei Iran’s logic of giving the IAEA the opportunity to verify its nuclear activity was to remove uncertainties, but the ambiguities have emerged again due to the agency’s excessive demands despite Iran’s cooperation.
The IAEA and the Board of Governors are under the influence of the Zionist Regime, the lawmaker noted, adding that Grossi’s visit to the occupied Palestine while Israel is not a member of the NPT and not willing to disambiguate its nuclear state is indicative of the IAEA’s bias.
He continued that Iran’s Parliament backs the decision to turn off the cameras installed beyond Safeguard Agreements in nuclear sites and increase uranium enrichment in response to the adoption of the resolution.
Amouei said that Iran expected that the talks in Vienna would reach a conclusion by the US stopping excessive demands and its readiness to lift sanctions.
