Tehran, IRNA - Iranian freestyle wrestler Yadollah Mohebbi (125 kg) won the gold medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Mongolia.

Yadollah Mohebbi (125 kg) defeated his opponent and won the gold medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Earlier, Yunes Emami, Rahman Amouzad, Ali Savadkoohi, and Mohammad Hossein Mohammadian defeated their opponents and grabbed the gold medals for Iran in the 74 kg, 65 kg, 79 kg, 87 kg, and 97 kg weight categories respectively.

Also, Dariush Hazrat Gholizadeh (61 kg) won a silver medal at the event.

Iran's national freestyle wrestling team ranked first at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Mongolia with six gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.

The 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships are the 35th edition of the Asian Wrestling Championships of combined events, and take place from April 19 to 24 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
