The 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships are the 35th edition of the Asian Wrestling Championships of combined events, and take place from April 19 to 24 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Iran finished runner-up at the Asian Wrestling Championships with 151 points in the Asian championships after Kazakhstan which won 2 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze medal. The Kyrgyz team also finished third with 3 golds and 2 bronzes.
Mohammad Reza Mokhtari, Rasoul Garmsiri, Nasser Alizadeh, and Mehdi Bali defeated their opponents in the 72 kg, 82 kg, 87 kg, and 97 kg weight categories, respectively at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Mehdi Hosseinnejad in the 60 kg lost to his opponent and received a silver medal for Iran.
Iman Mohammadi and Aref Habibollahi from Iran also won two bronze medals in the 63 kg and 77 kg weight categories.
