Tehran, IRNA – Deputy of Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement Sheikh Naim Qassem said that the Zionist enemy is in downfall trend, so it cannot stand against the resistance movement.

According to Lebanon’s Al-Manar TV channel, Qassem made the remarks in a ceremony marking Palestinian Prisoner's Day Monday night, noting that Hezbollah will stand with Palestinian people and their resistance against occupiers until freedom of all Palestinian territories.

The Zionist enemy is in the path of downfall and today while facing internal collapse, it cannot stand against the Resistance, he said.

The Hezbollah official went on to say that the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day should turn into a lectern to express crimes committed by the occupying regime as well as the agony of Palestinians.

Powerful countries do not give importance to Palestinian prisoners and try to cover up the Zionist regime’s crimes, so they are aiders and abettors to the regime, Sheikh Qassem noted.

Palestinian people are not alone in fighting the occupiers, he said, adding that all resistance forces in the region stand with the Palestinians, because there is no hope in governments reconciling with the Zionist regime.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he asked, “Are these normalization of ties between Saudi Arabia and Israel as well as security coordination between Bahrain and Tel Aviv rational?”

The resistance official added, “Is it logical that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) congratulates Jewish holiday of Passover to Israeli officials but refuses to show attention to those who shout out against oppressor?”

Clashes between Palestinians and Zionist military forces continue in occupied al-Quds and near al-Aqsa Mosque from the beginning of holy month of Ramadan.

In clashes that erupted in the recent two weeks tens of Palestinians have been martyred or injured.
