According to mcth.ir, Iran’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism provided five Malaysian documentary filmmakers with the opportunity to visit natural, historical, and cultural attractions of the Islamic Republic and make their documentary film.
The Malaysian documentary filmmakers arrived in Iran on February 24. The group is scheduled to stay until March 10 to visit Tehran, Isfahan, and Fars provinces.
The office of Tourism Marketing and Advertising of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism organized the trip to pave the way for promoting food-oriented tourism and advertising Iranian souvenirs.
The ministry provides the Malaysian documentary filmmakers with the opportunity to get acquainted with Iran’s handicraft potentials, including a workshop on carpet and fabric weaving.
The Kuala Lumpur-based documentary filmmakers are scheduled to visit different cities in the mentioned provinces to witness real life of the Iranian people.
The Malaysian group is going to visit Tehran’s traditional market as well as internationally recognized heritage such as Golestan Palace, Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam ancient archeological site, the first dynastic capital of the Achaemenid Empire known as Pasargad, as well as Naqsh-e Jahan Square.
The Malaysian group will broadcast the documentary film on Iran in ASTRO and some other TV networks in Southeast Asia during the holy month of Ramadan.
Iran’s embassy in Kuala Lumpur issued a statement ahead of Iranian National Day, expressing commitment to expand cooperation with Malaysia especially in tourism industry.
