Tehran, IRNA – Lebanese Culture Minister Mohammad Wissam El-Mortada supported the plans for Iran’s cultural week in Lebanon and underlined developing cultural and artistic ties with Iran.

Speaking in a meeting with Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili, El-Mortada expressed hope for promoting cultural ties in line with bilateral cooperation.

Meanwhile, the Iranian delegation elaborated on the most important programs of the cultural week.

The Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran is held in Lebanon with the aim of expanding and deepening the cultural and artistic ties and exchanges between the countries, as well as introducing and disseminating the rich effects of the history of Iran.

The Iranian Cultural Week entitled "Fajr Cultural Days" will be inaugurated in Lebanon on Monday (February 28 ,2021) with the presence of Iranian minister of culture.

The opening ceremony of the Iranian Cultural Week in Lebanon will be held on Monday in the Lebanese Arts Association "Resalat" in the presence of the cultural and artistic officials of the two countries in Beirut.

Several roundtables and symposiums, a large exhibition of Iranian handicrafts and arts, screening Iranian films, and playing Iran's music are among the scheduled programs of the Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon.
