Tehran, IRNA – The head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization elaborated on details of Iran-Qatar economic agreements, saying Qatar has welcomed Iranian industrial and knowledge-based projects.

Alireza Peymanpak said that the Qatari investment delegations will soon visit Iran.

Referring to bilateral meetings in Qatar, he said in a meeting with Qatari commerce and industry minister, both sides discussed establishing Iran’s trade center in Qatar and addressing businessmen issues.

He added that Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Rostam Qasemi in a meeting with his Qatari counterpart agreed to facilitate the issue of Iranian ships docking in Qatar.

Referring to Iran’s special role in transit, he said Qatari welcomed Iran's capacity as a bridge between the Caspian states with Qatar, India, and Africa for export and transshipment.

Peymanpak went on to say that banking, financial, and monetary issues were also discussed by Iran and Qatar.

He noted that Qatar expressed interest in collaborating with Iran in exporting technical and engineering services to Iraq, South East Asia, and Africa.

FIFA World Cup and tourism were other important issues discussed in Qatar, he noted.

Peymanpak stated that Qatari investors especially those active in food security field will supply the necessary items for extraterritorial cultivation.
