The ceremony was held at the Iranian school with the presence of Iranian Consulate officials, heads of Iranian schools in the subcontinent, teaching staff, students, and parents.
The program began with the playing of the national anthems of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan in the presence of Hassan Nourian, Consul General, and Ghorban Ali Moradi, head of Iranian schools in the subcontinent.
Explaining some aspects of the daughter of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) the Iranian Consul General said Muslims, including Sunnis, have a special devotion and respect towards her. "We Shiites have a heavy responsibility to promote the school of Ahl al-Bayt, especially the new generation, to follow the teachings of Hazrat Zahra (AS)," he said.
Nourian emphasized the lifestyle of Hazrat Fatima (AS) is a source of inspiration for girls and women and she should be followed as a model to adhere to the principles, Islamic ethics, and hijab.
Regarding the characteristics of the glorious leader of Islam, General Qasem Soleimani, he said today there is a special love and affection for the dear martyr general in the hearts of Muslim nations, especially the freedom-loving people of the world.
The Iranian Consul General in Karachi added the masterminds of the assassination of the martyred commander of the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps should be brought to justice.
In continuation of this program, the head of Iranian schools in the subcontinent said General Qasem Soleimani belongs to the Islamic world and our duty is to keep alive the memory of our dear martyrs and continue their path.
On the sidelines of today's ceremony, a drawing exhibition about General Qasem Soleimani by Iranian school students was also held.
The School of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi is one of the biggest schools of the Indian subcontinent and has a large number of Iranian students and educational staff.
